GRADING PROCEDURE
I use the point system for determining test and class grades. Each task is assigned a number of points. The grade is determined by a cumulative average of points a student receives on assignments. The cumulative averages are then weighted according to the following scale.
1st 9 Weeks 2nd 9 Weeks 3rd & 4th 9 Weeks
35% Technique 30% Technique 25% Technique
20% Tests & Quizes 30% Tests & Quizes 30% Tests & Quizes

The semester exam counts 14% of the semester grade. The final grade will be an average of the two semesters. Grades will be available for observation by parents in PowerSchool.
GRADING SCALE
A 90 – 100
B 80 – 89
C 70 – 79

Due to the nature of this class, attendance is extremely important. Please encourage your child to attend regularly. If your child must be absent for any reason, he/she may make up work during their Power 30 class. When absent, students will be given sufficient time to complete any assignments missed. It is the student’s responsibility to schedule make-up work with the teacher upon his/her return to school.
